Chuck E. Cheese Introduces New Pizza Recipe

This weekend my family had the opportunity to enjoy Chuck E. Cheese’s new pizza recipe and enjoy a fun family outing. Honestly, I thought Chuck E. Cheese was only a place you went to for birthday parties. I didn’t realize that anyone can go and enjoy the pizza, salad bar, and games without attending a party. It was the day before school started and we wanted to take our son out to do something fun that didn’t involve being outside in the 100 degree heat. The heat index in New Orleans was 114 degrees this weekend. It’s hot and I am always on the lookout for family activities that incorporate air conditioning.

It had been a long time since my last visit to a Chuck E. Cheese. I remember going for a birthday party a few years ago but other than that I really didn’t know what to expect. We were checked in, ordered our pizza, which had ½ cheese and ½ meats to satisfy everyone in our family, and then we were given a number and seated. While waiting for the pizza to arrive my eight year old played a few games. He was in awe of the fact that every game cost only ONE token. The arcade at our local movie theatre takes two to three tokens for every game and at Chuck E. Cheese every game is only one. He got to play some of his favorite games over and over again. I even liked showing off my Guitar Hero Skills on the Guitar Hero arcade game.

Then our pizza arrived and it was really good. The crust was crispy and not greasy. It tasted fresh and definitely not frozen. My husband’s meat lover’s side had lots of meat on it. The only thing that I would change is that, on this particular day, the toppings, especially the cheese, could have been spread a little more evenly. Other than that, we all really enjoyed it. While we were eating an employee kept asking if we needed anything and made us feel like we were at a restaurant. Also, I was impressed by the fact that there is even a salad bar for the more health conscience.
