Recently, I came across the Lil’ Yat’s Adventure Books and Coloring Books at a local children’s expo. I knew right away that they were the perfect fit for any New Orleans family and wanted to share them with the readers of Nola Mommy! I love everything that is naturally New Orleans and really enjoy teaching my sons about the uniqueness of this area. Even if you’re not from here these books are a perfect way to share something new with your kids! They are sure to enjoy stories of the swamp, pirates, Mardi Gras, City Park, and a day around New Orleans. My family really enjoyed reading these books together and my husband and I both shared stories of growing up and enjoying all of the locations mentioned! From riding streetcars uptown, eating beignets at Cafe’ Du Monde, visiting Storyville in City Park, or fishing in the swamp Lil’ Yat’s Adventures are full of fun tales for your entire family.
Written and illustrated by a brother and sister team who grew up in Uptown New Orleans, they really capture the city in a fun way that kids will enjoy! In addition to the storybooks, don’t miss out of the Lil’ Yat’s Adventure Coloring Books. Kids will enjoy coloring Lil’ Yat at some of New Orleans’ favorite places including the Aquarium!

I like all these Lil’ Yat’s Adventure Books. For sure my daughter will thank me for buying these books for her. Since there are different uses on these books I would purchase it for her. My daughter loves coloring books.

How great are the Lil Yats! I really like the Lil Yat and Friends Mardi Gras. Love when an author comes out and writes about the love of New Orleans. Our children need to learn from an early age how lucky they are to live in a city this wonderful and this collection helps them see that. Thanks for the post
These Lil Yat books would be an adventure for any child. The illustrations are the best that I have seen in a very long time. I cannot wait for the rest of the advententures.

I absolutely enjoy reading Lil Yat’s Adventure Books. What really got my attention to these books was how each story and its amazing illustrations take u on a different adventure every single time. My son who is !4 read them and said how much he enjoyed reading them as well… cannot wait to see where your next adventure is going to take us.
ABSOLUTELY love the Yatz Unlimited books…… very well written and colorful drawings set the tone. They keep you interested throughout the stories, start to finish. Even if your not from the New Orleans area, you can still appreciate another culture throughout our country. Hopefully, other kids will receive the opportunity to read this wonderful books….
