Bisquick Cinnamon Rolls

A quick, simple way to make a delicious breakfast treat for the entire family.
Ingredients
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2½ cups Bisquick mix
  • ⅔ cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons butter or margarine, softened
  • ¼ cup raisins (optional)
Instructions
  1. Heat oven to 375 degrees and grease or spray non-stick cooking spray on a 13"x9"x2" pan.
  2. Stir together 2 tbs of sugar and 1½ tbs of cinnamon (save for later)
  3. Stir Bisquick mix, milk, and the other 2 tbs sugar until dough forms. If dough becomes to sticky, add additional Bisquick mix to make dough easy to handle.
  4. Turn dough onto surface well dusted with Bisquick and shape into a ball
  5. Knead dough 10-15 times and Roll into a rectangle approximately 15"x9"
  6. Spread with softened butter and evenly sprinkle the cinnamon/sugar mixture on top
  7. Evenly sprinkle raisins (I used more than ¼ cup)
  8. Roll up tightly (begin at the 15" side)
  9. Cut into 1¼" slices and place into paln
  10. Bake 20-25 minutes until a light, golden brown. Cool 5 minutes and top with icing mixture (see below)
Notes
Icing Glaze: Start with 2 cups of powdered sugar and add ½ tsp warm water at a time until you reach desired consistency. Add ¼ tsp clear* vanilla extract. For fun, have your kids add a little food coloring! *Use clear for white glaze
