Prayers for South Louisiana & Mississippi

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Hi Everyone!

I know I have been MIA from the internet
but I spent the entire summer spending quality time with my boys.

There was never a dull moment and I have some really
great adventures to share in the near future.

Now that school is back in session, my blog was set to re-launch this past week
but it was interrupted by Hurricane Isaac’s sharp turn to the east last Friday.

The hurricane made landfall just west of the city of New Orleans
placing us on the wet & windy side of the storm.

I am looking forward to my first night of sleep not listening
to the wind and the news anchors in the background.

I tend to think that everything sounds like a freight train during severe weather.

Thankfully, my family is all safe and my home made it through with no damage.
(We did lose an oak tree in the backyard but it fell toward the fence.)

There are many people across Louisiana and Mississippi that were not as lucky.
Please pray for those that lost their homes and that the threat of rising rivers will soon pass.

Be merciful to me, O God, be merciful to me,

for in you my soul takes refuge;

in the shadow of your wings I will take refuge,

till the storms of destruction pass by.

I cry out to God Most High,

to God who fulfills his purpose for me.

Psalm 57:1
