NOLA Fashion Week presented by Langenstein’s and hosted by the Downtown Development District of New Orleans begins March 21, 2011! It will be six days filled with fashion shows, educational workshops and networking events. It’s goal is to promote the development of the fashion industry in New Orleans and foster Southern talent.
On Tuesday, March 22, 2011 there will even be an event dedicated to kids fashion and you’re invited! Angelique Baby, a children’s store located on Magazine St., will be presenting Kid’s Fashion Day at the Louisiana Children’s Museum located at 420 Julia St. from 10:30 am – 2:30 pm. Admission to the fashion event comes with the purchase of a ticket to the museum. There will be a fashion show by Angelique Baby at noon and a spot for kids to be photographed “on the runway” for fashionistas-in-training. Also, there will be multiple learning stations focused around fashion – from playing dress up to making fashion collages and experiencing different textiles. It will tons of fun for both girls and boys and even be a learning opportunity for New Orlean’s Mommies to learn more about the world of fashion!
