Homemade King Cake

 “Laissez les bon temps rouler!”

Let the Good Times Roll! We are gearing up for a great 2011 Mardi Gras season. This year, my son is riding in a parade for the first time and he’s so excited.  No matter what part of the country you are in this is a fun recipe that the whole family can enjoy and share in the Mardi Gras festivities. 

1 – can of cinnamon rolls with icing
Purple, Green, & Gold Sugar
(Various types of sprinkles can be used instead of just the traditional purple, green, and gold sprinkles)

Roll out the cinnamon rolls and connect them in an oval shape (as shown,) Bake according to the directions on the can. Icing and Sprinkle with colored sugar or sprinkles. ENJOY! Happy Mardi Gras!
